Poisson Rouge – Red fish soup for the brain

It’s hard to find good websites for kids. Most of them are aimed at getting parents to buy things, or hooking kids on a particular character or product.

French site Poisson Rouge is a fresh change. Designed by Poisson Rouge Interactica, who have designed many websites for kids, including one for British TV series Boobah, the site features an almost limitless number of small games, puzzles and interactive scenes for kids to explore (I’ve gotten through about 30 of them so far with our three-year-old).

With a nice, clean design and no instructions (so that parents and children have to work it out on their own), Poisson Rouge is a great way to introduce children to computers, while having some fun at the same time.

The site is flash-based but should work on all modern browsers and platforms.
