Playtime Tokyo reveals children’s fashion trends

While the traders and exhibitors have all waved goodbye, it’s time for us to say hello to Playtime Tokyo! We’re about to take you through this incredible trade show, which has just wrapped.

Bursting with more than two hundred exhibitors, the who’s who of children’s fashion, maternity wear, nursery products and everything baby gathered in Tokyo to peddle their wares. It’s a chance for emerging brands to get their foot in the door, as buyers look to stock their shelves with what’s hot for the coming season. Here’s what tickled our fancy.

How about we start with this gorgeous brand from Iceland? As We Grow not only has an adorable moniker, the children’s clothing is only made using natural materials, including wool and alpaca and Pimakotton.

Certainly not a new kid on the block, it was a great to see Australia’s own Emu uggs on display at Tokyo – how snuggly do these Lamb Walkers look?!

French, cashmere and baby clothing – the holy trinity of children’s fashion was on display from Les Lutins.

Also hailing from France, the stunning TroiZenfants, which produces clothing for babies through to teens.

Accessories were high on the Playtime Tokyo agenda – like these delicious pieces from Pop Cutie, which are handmade in Denmark.

Veering away from children’s fashion for a moment – what do you think of this Dotpot potty? From Belgium, it’s designed to be used as a traditional potty, toilet trainer or step.

Let’s finish on a high note, with the beautiful nursery décor from France’s Toi-Meme. The brand creates a sublime range of customisable cushions with a very high cute quotient.
