We’re always suitably blown away by the fabulousness on show at the annual Playtime Paris trade show, which continues to raise the bar for all things exquisite in the world of children’s fashion, accessories, furniture – just about everything. Alas, we can’t all take a leisurely jaunt to France to saunter through the aisles of amazing finds for kids, so allow us to show you our favourite finds of Playtime Paris 2013.
One of the big trends in children’s fashion at the trade show was knitwear. A throwback to a time honoured, traditional way of making clothing, which lends itself beautifully to children’s clothing – demonstrated perfectly by Japanese label Ami Amie.
You asked us to keep our eyes trained for some gorgeous clothing for boys, and Paris didn’t disappoint. Dutch label Bor*z has a bit of a 70s edge, and plenty of colour and fun.
The girls were also well catered for, how stunning is this Italian label? Caffe DÓrzo aims to produce clothing for everyday, that can also translate into a special occasion outfit.
The comfort factor is what drew my eye to the lovely European Hebe label (pictured at the top of the post). I also love the unexpected designs, particularly for boys (like the cat hoodie directly above).
What do you think of these nifty carriers from Japanese company Lucky? These look so simple yet effective, and Lucky is trying to break into the European market – so Playtime Paris was the perfect platform.
I adore this company – The Mark On The Wall. The clever French mob create cutesy wallpapers specifically designed for children to decorate and colour in.
One of our readers was keen to see what organic skincare for children was on show at Playtime Paris. French-made Skinhaptics showed its wares, including hypo-allergenic products for babies and pregnant women. Likewise, Omum showed off its certified organic range, including lots of delicious looking goodies for the bath and shower.
There was no shortage of amazing things to adorn children’s spaces at Playtime – including these beauties from Wool Fabrique. What a stunning way to store toys.
This post could literally go on an on, but I’ll round out our coverage of Playtime Paris with an awesome collection of cool wares from Younow by Florence Jaffrain. These Sitting Balloons look comfy and playful, and she designs a whole host of quirky things to sit and lay on.
