One of the eternally frustrating things about Pinterest has been how to Pin images from different sources, when there isn’t one of those handy Pin It buttons already installed by the host. And then there’s the problem of ensuring the origin of the Pin is maintained. Here’s the solution.

Pinterest has now launched a Pin It button for Chrome, and it’s terribly easy to install and use. Once installed it adds the familiar Pinterest ‘P’  icon at the top right-hand corner of the Chrome browser. There are two ways to then Pin an image.

You can click on the icon at the top of the browser. Or you can hover over an image until the ‘Pin It’ icon appears in the top left-hand corner. Once selected a pop-up window appears which lets you save the image to any of your Pinterest boards.  And if the image is in a blog post or article, the URL will appear in the pin description, thus making it much easier to share its origin. Easy and makes pinning more streamlined, so there’s more time for… pinning!
