Blocks usually keep kids busy for a decent amount of time, but Shirara and Mai Miura’s Paper Blocks will keep them really, really busy. The Paper Blocks arrive to you flat packed so the first task for the kids is to construct the blocks. No scissors or glue are required – the block shapes are pre-cut and self-adhesive so assembly is easy.
Once the blocks are created, kids can decorate them however they like. There are lots of different shapes which I’m sure will encourage some imaginative results. When they have finished with drawing or painting on the blocks they can have fun building with them. One advantage of paper blocks that the designers don’t mention, is that they have no impact if flung across the room mid toddler temper tantrum!
The finished creations store neatly in the box they arrive flat-packed in. They are US$44 and are available from the A+R Store, who ship internationally by arrangement.
