Thank heaven for little girls. And thank heaven too for fashion designers who make bright, cheerful clothes for little girls. I guess what I’m trying to say is thank heaven for Palm Tree Princess.

This fashion label from Hawaii boasts the brightest, sweetest, most jaw-droppingly adorable collection of clothes for little girls, from newborn babies all the way through to primary school kids. Honestly, these designs are so cheerful, they’ll just want to make you smile. But then, that’s Hawaii for you.

I mean, look at this romper, all rainbows, unicorns and princess carriages. Cute is not the word. It’s beyond cute. It’s beyond beyond cute. You can’t see this bit, but the back of the aptly named Princess Romper is all ruffles and spotty criss-cross straps for a mega-dose of summer wardrobe delight. Made to order, you can have it in any size from newborn to toddler for $41.

The Chevron Bubble Romper, with its delightful oversized button, is another one that tickles the oh-so-cute bone. This one can be made in sizes to fit from newborn all the way to four-year-olds, so if there’s a bunch of daughters in the family, you can dress them to matchy-matchy perfection á la the pic at the top of this post. Choose from pink, yellow or turquoise for $35.

Here’s a romper that’s fancy enough for any summertime special occasion. A sweet double layer of ruffles all the way round sets it apart, but like all the rompers here it has snap buttons underneath for easy nappy change access. So it’s pretty and practical too. It costs $41.

Then expect a whole new level of Palm Tree Princess whimsy when it comes to the skirts and dresses. There’s skirts perfect for plays at the park or romping around the garden, like the gorgeously retro Summer Skirt up there, with its oversized polka-dotted pockets ($29) and the retro-esque apron dress ($54) below.

And how about these lovelies – if ever there was a group of dresses and skirts that made you want to whisk the entire family off to a tropical island immediately, these are it. The Lemon Lime Patch skirt is $38 and the Beach dresses priced from $50.

But it’s not all play clothes and pretty everyday wear. Palm Tree Princess also have, amongst their multitude of dresses, rompers and skirts, some party frocks and outfits that are fit for, well, fit for a princess. Special occasion wear is priced from $42.
