Orange Is The New Black’s Laura Prepon and fiance Ben Foster welcome first baby

Laura Prepon

Oh hurrah! Laura Prepon – aka Alex Vause from Orange Is The New Black – has reportedly had her baby girl some time in the last few weeks, in excellent off-the-radar style.

“Come out already”

US Weekly are reporting that Laura and fiance Ben Foster have been seen out and about in New York this week having dinner, looking stoked and sans baby bump. They deduce that Baby Prepon-Foster has arrived at last!

Laura appeared on TV show LIVE With Kelly and Ryan in June, delightedly revealing she was eight months pregnant back then.

“[I’m] eight months [pregnant], so yeah, next month [I’ll give birth],” Laura revealed back in June. “It’s weird because it sneaks up on you, you’re like, ‘I can’t believe it’s been eight months already. But then you’re like, ‘Oh my gosh, she needs to, like, come out already!’”

Fast forward to now and the baby reportedly DID come out already- and it seems that everyone is chuffed.

“I’m creating life”

Laura said the whole pregnancy experience has been transformative, and she’s been keen to enjoy it away from prying eyes.

“I’m creating life and it’s so incredible. I’m so ecstatic for this experience, but you go through so many changes. We’ve been… keeping it low-key. I’m a very private person.”

Of pregnancy cravings, Laura said they’d well and truly kicked in, in delicious Jewish deli style.

“[My dad] was a doctor and when he would have a break we would go to this Jewish deli. We would get this pastrami on rye sandwich with a Dr. Brown’s black cherry soda. When I was a kid that’s what we would get with my dad. With like mustard and sauerkraut. What’s so funny is I have not eaten that stuff probably since I was a kid with my dad. So when I got pregnant, all of a sudden I was like, ‘I need a pastrami on rye. I need a Dr. Brown’s black cherry soda. I need mustard and sauerkraut.’ These crazy Jewish deli cravings hit me so hard. Isn’t that funny?”

These brand new parents have been friends since they were teens, but only began dating in mid-2016. They got engaged in late 2016 and now they’ve added a baby to their excellent list of couple achievements.

Congratulations Laura and Ben!
