I feel like Charlie being awarded a golden ticket to Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory and I can’t stop humming the tune all day since picking up my official media pass to the Oprah show tomorrow at the Sydney Opera House.
All special guests were just confirmed this afternoon and we happen to know who’s going to be there tomorrow. I will be live blogging from the Opera House from 8am so make sure you keep coming back to see what’s happening at the taping.
I can’t wait to keep all our Babyology readers up to date on what Oprah has planned.
Some of Australia’s biggest stars will join Oprah when she tapes two special episodes at the Sydney Opera House tomorrow (Tuesday). Russell Crowe, Bindi Irwin, Hugh Jackman, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, and Olivia Newton- John are all confirmed to appear across the two shows. Rock legends Bon Jovi will perform some of their greatest hits and hip-hop superstar Jay-Z will stop by for a special surprise. Plus, a soaring finale will feature special guests and a one-time-only musical performance with Australia’s John Foreman and his orchestra.
Two shows will be taped at the Sydney Opera House, each with approximately 6000 audience members. The “Oprah” show received more than 350,000 total requests for tickets to the tapings. Of the seats awarded through an online lottery system, more than 95 per cent have been given to Australians. The sold-out tickets were available at no charge. Two additional shows will be comprised of footage taped from across Australia from both the audience and Oprah’s excursions, making a total of four shows produced here in Australia.
The programmes are set to air in January 2011 in syndication in the US and in primetime in January 2011 on Network Ten in Australia.
