I just love a pop of colour during winter and this season’s range from Oobi will be sure to bring a spot of cheer to an otherwise dreary day.
Alexandra Riggs has cemented Oobi’s position as one of Australia’s favourite childrenswear labels with a decidedly retro collection this season. As an avid collector of vintage textiles, Alex has brought her passion to life with a fresh spin on some long-forgotten floral patterns.
To ensure the integrity of the era as well as the classic Oobi aesthetic, Alex has re-drawn, re-coloured and re-vamped her favourite retro florals and even screenprinted them to maintain colours representative of a non-computerised time.
Cornflower blue, pink floral roses and pops of scarlet are the cornerstone colours of Oobi’s winter 2015 range. There’s dresses, skirts, woollen jackets and vests – as we’ve come to expect from Oobi – and their popular Flutter Tees and Maxine Cardigans have been recreated with the featured designs. All of this has been done in a way that honours Oobi’s philosophy of creating clothing that allows children to be children.
The winter 2015 storybook collection encompasses babies, girls and tweens fashion and is available now, through selected stockists and Oobi’s online store. Be sure to check out their bedroom and home range for the most adorable heart applique quilts sporting this season’s designs.
