You know what I hate? When you spend a small fortune on a piece of furniture such as, oh say, perhaps a baby’s book shelf, only to get it home and then see another shelf you much prefer weeks down the track.
This is exactly what happened when I saw Korean design artist Shawn Soh’s tree bookshelf. What an awesome idea! I’d never really thought about it before, but why couldn’t a bookshelf be some other shape beside the usual rectangular jobs you find left, right and centre. Imagine how sweet this would look in your child’s room with a vibrant bird wall decal placed strategically above it. You don’t even have to use it as a bookshelf. Why not use it as a visually arresting wall cabinet and place your beautiful objects on it for show?
The site it mostly in Korean so I’m still unsure how much it costs but if you’re interested in buying one, you could either email Shawn at firstname.lastname@example.org, or if all else fails, hit up Bunnings on the weekend. Good luck!
