When is it okay to ask a woman if she is pregnant?

The question may seem simple. But you’d be surprised at how many women have been told, “Congratulations!” on their food baby. So when is it okay to ask a woman if she is pregnant? US mum, Carrie Saum breaks it down for us in a quick video.

It happens to the best of us. And, as embarrassing as it is for us mums to reply to the question of “When are you due?” with “um, I’m not pregnant”, it is just as mortifying for the person who opened their big fat mouth and put their entire foot in it.

Sick of people asking if she was pregnant again, new mum Carrie Saum created a helpful video to explain the right time to comment on a woman’s baby belly.

Basically, there are only two times.

1. She tells you she is pregnant.

2. She is in labour.

That’s it.

As Carrie explains, if you’re ever in doubt of whether a woman is pregnant or not, say nothing.

“Congratulations… on your food baby”, “Congratulations… on your excessive bloating”, and “Congratulations…. on your weight gain” just don’t have the same happy ring to it.

Have you ever been asked if you were pregnant when you were simply sporting a bit of a mum tum?
