Oh la la – French books for babies

Earlier this year fellow Babyology writer Suzi and I spent a day ohhing and ahhing over all sorts of lovely things at Kids Instyle. But there was one thing in particular that had me ohhing, ahhing and oh-la-la-ing. It was these delightful cloth baby books by Coq en Pâte, available in Australia from Little Frenchy. Cloth books are extremely practical for babies – they’re light, can be chewed (I mean ‘read’) and if need be, washed! I’m always on the look out for cloth books as a gift for new babies and this gorgeous range has won me. There are four different books available, three with a stunning vintage feel and one with modern, quirky illustrations in bright colours. Importantly, the fabric and the print used in Coq en Pâte books is completely baby-safe, should your bub decide to ‘read’ with their mouth! Coq en Pâte cloth books are $34 each from Little Frenchy.
