Swoon-worthy nurseries to inspire your own baby room decor

Got a bundle of love on the way? Then you may be a little obsessed with nursery decor right now. Understandable! Nothing gets you more excited about bub’s arrival than creating her own beautiful space.

Here are 16 gorgeous nurseries found on Instagram for you to steal ideas from.

1. Pretty ‘n’ pink

This nursery has a modern, fresh look that is softened by the pink hues and a gorgeous woven mat.

2. Popping green

How cute is this for a baby boy? I love how the usual blues aren’t featured here and instead a pallet of bold colours, including lime green and orange are used. Also, that bench seat!

3. Earth baby

Neutral tones, an eye-catching rug and some leafy wall art all work to make this nursery look and feel natural. Perfect for either sex.

4. I love you the most

Sweet! This print says it all. The stark grey wall contrasts beautifully with the soft pink and white hues and hanging poms poms. Plus, an elephant riding a rocking horse – awww!

5. Classic baby blue and white

Cute cot, cute wall art, cute storage ‘cubby’ and a very cute baby on a star rug. Lots to love about this one.

6. Leafy wall decal

The foliage wallpaper backdrop used here gives this nursery a breezy, casual look. This one would be easy to replicate with a leaf wall decal sticker.

7. Lavish lavender

This beautiful nursery looks like it belongs in a manor house. Look for an ornate cot and a gorgeous rocking chair if you are after an elegant look. You can always paint these if you find them in an antiques shop (just make sure the cot is safe and meets today’s safety standards).

8. Something a little different

A popping aqua green striped rug, a designer statement cot and scenic spotty wallpaper all work together to create this unusual but cool nursery.

9. Rustic charm

The creator of this nursery says her vision when creating it was, “vintage, rustic and boho-chic”. I think she nailed this with the combination of the wooden slab wall panels, charming rocking chair and the vintage chest of drawers.

10. By George!

I’m guessing the occupier of this sweet nursery is named George. I love the teepee tent (that is sure to get knocked over when he’s a raucous toddler) and the sturdy-looking wooden toy box. The bunting is cute too.

11. Delicate design

Keeping the colour palette soft, the creator of this nursery has used only dusty pinks, pale greys and whites to create this minimalist look. Also loving the dream catcher on the wall.

12. Boho chic

Think colourful woven rugs, sticks hanging from the ceiling with a gorgeous dream catcher and vintage furniture if you want to replicate this look. Don’t be restricted by a colour palette either. Boho style is all about colours!

Had to share @mandykay11's AMAZING nursery for her daughter Coco. I mean…am I right? 😍 I "met" Mandy in April 2016 after she placed her first order with me, this dreamcatcher mobile, before her daughter was born. She welcomed sweet Coco a few months later in June and we've kept in touch ever since, bonding over motherhood, all the life change, bartending, and finding ways to feel like ourselves while navigating all the responsibilities that marriage and parenthood demand. She lives 3,000 miles away, so we've never met in real life (yet), but thanks to this little business of mine and these little squares I was able to connect with a kindred spirit and gain a friend when I really needed one. Love you "Mobile Mandy" 😂! This is my number one favorite perk of doing this. Being able to interact with all of you and make real connections when I don't even leave the house some days, is so important to me. So thank you to all of you who have opened your hearts to me and supported me along the way. I'm so grateful! . . . . . . . . . . . #wigglywilliam #handmade #homedecor #nurserydecor #bohodecor #bohonursery #bohonurserydecor #sacredplaces #babygirl #babygirlnursery #bohohome #dreamcatcher #dreamcatchermobile #beautifulplaces #interiordesign #style #currentdesignsituation #midcentury #midcenturyfurniture #unitedinmotherhood #solidarity #friendship #connection #interaction #grateful #moms #momlife #motherhood #parenthood #artist

13. Statement furniture

If you want to keep things simple with a splash of colour, consider painting a piece of furniture in your baby’s room a bold colour. Just make sure the paint you use is safe for bub if you’re thinking of painting her cot. Teething babies have a habit of gnawing on their sleeping quarters!

14. Flower child

If you love floral design, how about this backdrop of blooms behind your baby’s cot? I’m not loving the bows on the cot bumper (which also don’t seem that safe) but the feature wall idea is lovely.

15. So cool

With on-trend colours and a soft, curl-up-to-sleep-on sheepskin, this unisex nursery is sophisticated yet sweet. I also really like the funky floor lamp.

16. Flamingo jungle fever

A striking illustrated plant wallpaper coupled with white wooden horizontal panels gives this nursery an old plantation home feel. The flamingo head poking through the leaves also adds a bit of cheekiness to the room and ties in the dusty pinks furniture and hanging pot.
