Now we love all that the new model iPhone5 has to offer us as adults, but we can’t overlook the new iPod Touch models, which now come packed with loads of kid appeal.
Firstly, just look at those colours! We have to say it’s long overdue – kids love to have a more personalised touch to their gadgets these days and colour is fabulous way to achieve that. Whether we recognise it or not, colour is a reflection of ourselves and we’ve long been personalising our electronics for a more individual look. There are five colours all up for the latest version of iPod Touch which is also super-skinny at just 6.1mm wide.
The other features of note are the brand new high-quality five megapixel camera, larger screen, new space-age EarPods, Siri and wrist strap for the clumsy people (like me). Kids and parents alike will love the enabling of iBooks and the Kindle app.
Pre-orders for the new iPod Touch will be available from Apple’s website from this Friday 14 September. The 32GB model is priced at $329, and the 64GB model is $439. Retailers will start stocking the iPod Touch in October. We can imagine this mini computer will be gracing many Christmas stockings this year!
Special mention must also go to the new Apple iPod Nano (below); available in seven stunning colours and credit card-sized, it looks just like a miniature iPhone. Just the thing for a tween or teen to pop in the pocket and dash to the next activity. They can even watch tv shows and video podcasts. It retails for $169.
