Since she was left behind at Perth airport on Thursday, this well-loved ted has been at the centre of a social media bear hunt. Her finders are desperate to find her owner because they know they would be missing their fluffy friend and want to get her home before Christmas.
A Facebook account run by John ‘Twobob’ Shilling urged the public to ‘share the bear’ to help find its rightful owner. The post has been shared more than 65,000 times and also numerous times on Twitter, where the lost toy has its own hashtag – #sharethebear – but so far the publicity hasn’t reached anyone who recognises the lost teddy.
John said the bear was left at Perth domestic airport on Thursday night (November 19) by someone flying to Melbourne.
Hi ALL I NEVER DID FIND MY OWNER BUT MY CARER HAS ADOPTED ME OUT TO A LITTLE GIRL WHO LOVES ME TO BITS AND I AM HAPPY AGAIN. THANKS FOR ALL YOUR SHARING AND CARING 🐻🐻🐻❤️❤️
The brown bear has a floral dress and matching bow and looks like she has been someone’s constant companion.
“Hi fb friends and to all of those people that are trying to find the bear his home. No luck yet but a very good response on Facebook. The more we share the bear, the closer we will find her owner,” he writes.
Do you know who this bear belongs to? We’d love to hear of a happy reunion.
