More colouring fun for grown-ups from Johanna Basford

Many of us have known for some time that colouring is therapeutic – and not just for kids. Parents, embrace your inner artist and grab some pencils because we have found a new release colouring book just for you.

Recently, we featured some fabulous colouring books for grown-ups, filled with detailed designs you would not let your toddler near with a crayon. Well, Babyologists, we have more glorious pages of colouring in for you.

Johanna Basford’s Enchanted Forest is a beautiful book, filled with fantastical creatures and fairy-tale images. As well as the detailed drawings to complete and colour, the book is a journey through the forest, with hidden treasures to be found in order to unlock the castle door.

Describing herself as an ‘ink evangelist’, artist Johanna Basford also penned Secret Garden and more of her work can be viewed on her website. There’s even a page where you can upload your completed colourings of her artworks. Just be sure to keep your book safe from the kids!

Enchanted Forest and Secret Garden are available from Book Depository.

Libby lives in Sydney with her husband, three children (plus one on the way) and dog. In a former life, she was a high school English and history teacher who loved going out for breakfast and spending holidays reading book after book. These days, Libby spends her time kid-wrangling, catching quiet moments with a coffee, trying to avoid taking the kids to the shops and, when time allows, getting lost in a good book or a spot of crochet.
