These are some super-cool kids on the block in their Appaman threads. There’s no ignoring the street cred these clothes deliver, appealing to small urbanites who like an edge to their fashion. During his Norwegian childhood, creator Harald Husum had a corduroy monkey named Appaman who went everywhere that he did – the toy inspires Husum to this day to create clothes for kids and babies which are stylish, edgy and wearable.
We’re loving the puffy jackets for the upcoming Northern winter and I personally cannot go past the signature Appaman print tee. Having had a long-standing thing for Paul Frank’s Julius monkey, it’s little wonder really! Just look at that stunning quilted jacket which I consider to be absolutely unisex.
The range for babies is soft and flexible with my personal fave being the electric blue outfit down there. It’s a great take on the houndstooth look when made in great colours and teamed with plain fabric. Appaman tees and jumpers are available locally from Lily and Pete.
