We love a good home grown Australian label, and we’re so excited to introduce We Are All, a Melbourne designer of children’s clothes.
We Are All founders Rebecca Amos and Chantel Phillips-Hill have worked for the likes of Gucci, Botega Veneta, Myer and Adairs, but it’s their roles as parents that make designing childrenswear the perfect fit.
We Are All’s inaugural collection celebrates the fun of being a modern kid. The boys’ and girls’ ranges are very distinct from each other. The central print for the boys’ collection is a colourful, modern art print with winking eyes incorporated into the wild array of colour. The print appears on boardshorts ($49.95), jumpers ($59.95) and t-shirts.
There are plenty of great basics like white or navy t-shirts and khaki shorts ($49.95), but our favourite piece is the Frankie Trackpant ($59.95), a colour-blocked old-school-meets-new slouchy trackpant.
For girls, We Are All has created comfortable summer garments with large scale red or pink floral prints. The Jasmine Jumpsuit ($59.95) with its smocked top and waist is the perfect comfortable summer piece, and can be dressed up with We Are All’s silver leather sandals ($59.95).
We Are All is skilled at taking a basic garment and modernising it with cut or print. The t-shirt dresses have a cocoon shape that elevates the simple garment. The harem pants ($59.95) are unexpectedly bright, in pink floral cotton.
The brand’s signature white or navy leather sneakers are the perfect kids’ shoe, and we wouldn’t mind a pair in mum’s sizes. It turns out that ours isn’t a farfetched dream – We Are All is planning to expand its offering to include homewares and women’s and men’s clothes.
We Are All is available online, and a bricks and mortar flagship store in Melbourne is in the works. Shipping in Australia is $7.95.
