Bassinet, cot or the more classic Moses basket? The choice can be a little overwhelming for parents-to-be. After too much research and not enough decision-making, I ended up choosing a bassinet for the precious first few months and then a cot for later. If I’d seen this modern take on an old classic though, I dare say my decision would have been even trickier.
The Askaroff family from Sussex, England created this product after years of importing natural fibre Moses baskets. They found that many wicker or palm leaf baskets degraded over time, creating sharp edges and bacteria growth. The baskets were often hard to clean and difficult to recycle. So, they designed the Moba Moses Basket – a product opposite to everything they had encountered.
The result, as you can see, is rather enticing. And with colours like Apple, Dove, Raspberry and Rose, it looks fun to pick one too!
Moba has specially designed air holes for airflow and ventilation, and is made from a soft, tactile, synthetic material that is completely recyclable, super durable, hypoallergenic and non-toxic.
I should note that Moba doesn’t make the stand you see in the adorable top photo of this post. The baskets fit a variety of different stands though, so it shouldn’t be too much trouble getting this look for your nursery.
