There’s an energetic new brand on the block for the age four to ten set; bright and bold fashion with that essential cool factor. Previously this age bracket has been neglected, and Mister Kids has made it a personal mission to correct this.
The creators are a Sydney design duo with a ten year old son, who wanted something a little different from the usual fare for boys. Edgy printed tees – my fave is the “My mum is stronger than your dad!” tee – beautiful bright pants and shorts, and fabulous collared shirts all present an alternative take on dressing boys.
Girls are not excluded from the Mister Kids equation – a lot of the garments are unisex and would look great on groovy girls who like to avoid frills and excesses of pink (I’m one of those!).
Itchy labels are a thing of the past as all Mister Kids clothing has the label attached with a button so it’s removable.
Plans are afoot to release limited edition tees designed by creative types in the Sydney art world. I can hardly wait to see what unfolds for this brand in the coming years – my older boy sits at the start of their sizing and I’m excited we have options now he’s out of toddlerhood.
You can order through the Mister Kids website, or stay tuned for a list of stockists.
