We love kids’ clothing to be functional, practical and above all, easily washable. From time to time though, a pretty little something catches our eye and we can’t resist.
Minouche’s clothes are like that – vintage-inspired and totally irresistible. But they’ll do you one better: much of the collection is made from soft cotton and corduroy, neatly ticking the boxes for practicality and washability.
Designed in Sydney, Minouche is French for kitten, and it’s a name that speaks of the playfulness and luxurious softness of the garments.
The collection for winter has empire waist dresses ($69) that can be layered over thick tights , cropped gingham pants ($54) that look great with ankle boots and a cosy knitted jumper, or our favourite, corduroy pinafores ($75) in grey check.
Worn over the floral Alice Blouse ($54) these pinafores are devastatingly sweet, but also warm and easy to wear. Pop on a woolly swing coat and a pom pom beanie and you’re sorted for an adorable winter.
Minouche designs are ethically sewn by a collection of seamstresses in Bali, and where possible, garments are made from natural fibres that get softer with every wash. The clothes make gorgeous party gear, but are so easy to wear, they’re equally at home at the park.
Minouche’s garments are available online and ship in Australia for $8.
