Miniature designs get smaller

You’ve got yourself a set of original Bertoia chairs and picked up a couple of miniatures for the kids….now let’s go even smaller and deck out the dollhouse with some designer seating.

Japan’s Reac has created a collection of designer chairs, scaled at 1:12th. There are more than 40 miniatures in the collection ranging from Le Corbusier’s LC2 club armchair and the Eames lounge and ottoman to the instantly recognisable Ball Chair by Eero Aarnio.

Although Reac maintain that these little classics are not intended as toys, they are scaled to fit in most dollhouses, so how could you resist putting a tiny aqua blue Arne Jacobsen Swan chair by the fireplace in your Lundby?

The chairs are available through Sweden’s Omm Designs online retailers and cost approximately $15 each.

Whilst you’re browsing at Omm, take a peek at the retro styled robot bedside table by MoGi – I know lots of little boys who would like to have him next to the bed (but unfortunately he is not available in Australia).
