Art or children’s furniture? These amazing pieces are both. Hailing from Spain, this beautiful collection from Menut Estudio is at the forefront of innovation. Not only are these pieces of furniture handy as just that, they can also be so much more.
First cab off the rank are these adorable shelves. Called Guardacuentos, these critters are charged with the task of guarding story books (I love this description!). They come in eight different characters and look particularly beautiful adorning a wall.
The Oli carpet takes children’s decor to a new level. It comes with a cushion, and is made from sheets of felt. Kids can play on it, hide things in it or just stare at its beauty.
This has to be my favourite Menut Estudio piece. Thea is a seat which doubles as a theatre – what an innovation! The back support becomes the theatre, while hidden in the bottom are some jolly little finger puppets. It also has a white board, what more could a child want?
The final fabulous find from Menut is the Grou. It’s a stunning furniture tree to store children’s hats, coats and knick-knacks. But it’s also interactive, as the pegs can be repositioned.
We really don’t like to tease, but I do have to mention these products aren’t available for purchase… yet. Menut Estudio has told us they are currently manufacturing this quartet of amazing pieces. Even more excitingly, they are looking to export these products to Australia, so we’ll let you know when that happens.
