This UK brand has us lamenting the soon-to-be gone days of summer. But there are high hopes for a mild Australian autumn, so it might be a safe bet to stock up on some of these beautiful pieces from the latest Marie-Chantal drop.
You may recall that we featured the incredible Nest Bag, from Marie-Chantal, the brand created by Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece. Well, here’s the latest children’s wear collection from this regal label.
If there’s one word that can be used to describe the Marie-Chantal spring/summer 2015 collection, it’s “fresh”. Both in colour and in styling, this latest drop is a breath of fresh air.
Included in the range is everyday wear, party best and smart casual. As usual the pieces are interchangeable and timeless. For the girls there are printed blouses, peplum tops and cotton cardigans which can be paired with casual skirts and shorts, those ever-popular skinny jeans and relaxed rolled-leg chinos ( £85). The gorgeous image above includes the girls’ lace blouse ( £195), slim fit jeans ( £89) and ballet pumps ( £69). For the boys, the linen shirts are £79 and the suede mocassins are £120.
There are jersey tees with cheeky slogans, while the boys’ tees are inspired by American road trips and surfing.
The party wear includes pieces made from natural fibres, which Marie-Chantal describes as “delicate broderie anglaise and luxurious silk georgette”. The ensemble above features the jacquard coat (£295), peplum dress ( £195) and slipper shoe ( £99).
Sparkles and floaty dresses make for perfect party pieces, as do tulle skirts and Marie-Chantal’s signature angel wing cashmere sweaters. While the pastels still feature heavily, there are also bright pops of neon. The jaquard shift dresses above cost £175, and are available from sizes three to 12 years.
Boys get a chance to shine in slim-fit suits in off-beat hues like beige and navy. And they are great for formal occasions on warmer days, as they’re made from light cotton.
And of course, that gorgeous angel wing sleep suit is back again in new season colours, cream and gold. They cost £55. Browse every last divine piece at Marie-Chantal.
