Make mine Mine

Most people own more than one pair of jeans. And most people also have the ‘perfect’ pair of jeans – a pair that is comfortable, the right colour and worn in all the right places.

I have certainly bought lots of jeans for my kids over the years. But often I’ve discovered that after a few wears some don’t stay up quite right, or pinch around the waist, or they fit, but the shade of denim is slightly daggy. So when I saw Mine by Kayla jeans, I immediately wanted to make them mine!

Mine jeans are designed by Phil Thompson, a Melbourne based designer who worked with the big names in denim for 20 years and now owns two labels, 2 Blocks South and Neon Blonde. When his daughter Kayla needed a pair of jeans that were fashionable and functional, she relied on him to create the perfect pair.

Designed for kids who want to look cool, play hard and who can’t afford to have fashion malfunctions in the sandpit, like VNL (visible nappy line), Mine jeans have undergone rigorous ‘playground’ testing by kids and ‘fashion’ testing by parents.

Choose from red acid wash, classic vintage blue straights or cool black skinnys. This winter, it’s possible that your kids’ jeans might be more fashion cutting edge than your own!

Mine by Kayla jeans are $69.95 and are available at Kido Store from February 16, 2009. History tells us that these jeans are so popular they walk out the door, so if you want a pair, get in quick!
