Little Big Room by Djeco – easy decorating for nurseries and kids’ bedrooms

Who loves Djeco? We certainly do, and we also love that they’ve branched out into children’s décor and bundled all of their amazing stuff into a brilliant, interactive online universe. Jump on board the rocket ship, and allow us to take you there…

Over the years we’ve explored a plethora of Djeco goodies, from art and craft, to pretend play and everything in between. And Djeco toys usually make at least one appearance in our famous Christmas Gift Guides. Now this chic French brand, which aims a little left of centre, is creating beautiful children’s spaces with its range of décor.

The way that Djeco has introduced its new range is to create a unique online catalogue – Little Big Room by Djeco, which has 15 “universes”,  or children’s bedrooms. You can see what the products look like in-situ, and trust me when I say, trying to decide which look to go for is terrifyingly difficult! Each bedroom has its own distinct feel and look.

Of course you can choose to mix and match pieces, but what I like about these bedrooms is that they don’t look overly matchy-matchy. In fact some look rather eclectic and have a real charm about them. Almost like it’s taken years to collect each of the pieces that adorn the spaces, when in fact they’re sourced from Djeco’s range.

There are more than 200 products within the different rooms. And when you click on one product, it will suggest a few others that work well with what you’ve chosen. For instance, selecting the stunning Ballerina Night Light brings up suggestions of a mirror and wall shelf ($64) that are in the same shades.

You can also view the products the traditional way by clicking on the product list. Products include storage boxes, pop-up boards, mobiles, money boxes and wooden letters. There’s literally everything you’d want to decorate a nursery or child’s bedroom.

Little Big Room is really a fantastic way to explore the Djeco range, which is available through several Australian stockists, including A Whole Lot Of Love, Where Did You Get That?, and Little Obsessions. Otherwise there are also a host of international stockists.
