Circles are most definitely my thing. Spots, polka-dots, round placemats,
circular dining table, if it’s round, then it’s me. I even insisted
that my mother have a round window built into her new house! Circles
are social, whimsical, self-deprecating and bright – they imply
fun wherever they are – they never take themselves too seriously. Now
circular beds aren’t really practical in these inner city abodes.
just command too much space, and who wants to trawl the globe for
sheets that will fit?
The very next best thing is the ‘Circle Bed’ by
Lilly & Lolly.
and truly pandering to my circle obsession, I’ll be dreaming of this
bed for a long long time. Available in two sizes – single and
king-single – the Circle Bed can be fitted with both bed head and bed
end, or just the bed head. I quite fancy the idea of having both –
place a large blanket over the top, and you have the perfect cubby!
Your child will have a sense of privacy and cocoonment and can hang
handmade and loved items off the end to admire from their pillow top.
What a yummy bed – I want to crawl into it myself and nod off. Feel
great that it’s designed and made right here in Australia, and admire
its fresh satin painted finish in crisp white. Complete the look with
which features three open sides
and the customary circle cut-outs. When my youngest goes into a bed,
the bed will be at the very top of the list! I’d love to see a bunk
done with the circles – my eldest is desperate to share a room with is
brother, but it’ll be a good 5 years before they’re old enough.
The Circle Bed is $1,100 (+$100 for king-single) and bedside table is $285 plus delivery, from chic children’s interior site
