Lil’ Creatures – cute and cuddly animal costumes for baby

Lil Creatures costumes

I once wondered who prefers dress-ups more – kids or their parents. But I’ve seen enough of my friends’ smartphone camera rolls now to know that it is most definitely the parents. And I’m in the same boat. But who can blame us, really – just take a look at what we’re dealing with!

The adorable new wombat, cockatoo and fox suits from Lil’ Creatures are so snap worthy that you’ll be clearing space on your phone left, right and centre before getting enough shots.

These suits are the newest additions to the already gorgeous Lil Creatures family of bunnies, ladybirds and – how cute – red-nosed reindeers.

Of course, comfort for your little one is the most important thing and it’s a top priority for Lil’ Creatures owner Carly Byrne. The main fabric is a cotton rich, very soft two-way stretch terry and the hats, fully lined in stretch cotton jersey, are also comfortable and will stay on (unless you have a hat-loathing toddler on your hands!).

The story behind the Lil’ Creatures business is also super sweet. Carly, who has previous experience designing for a large childrenswear label, was invited to a Halloween party when her baby was just three months old. Finding it difficult to buy something that was comfortable and cute at the same time, she transformed a normal onesie into a Redback Spider. You can imagine the response. Before long, requests for costumes came from family and friends and, thankfully for all the dress-up lovers out there, Lil’ Creatures was born!

The costumes go from size 000 to 2 (0 to 24 months) and arrive at your door beautifully gift-boxed. You can pick yours up for $79 on Etsy or at the Lil Creatures online store.
