Every parent knows how important routine is for babies and singer Liam Payne totally gets it. In an interview with US Weekly, the star has spoken about putting his baby’s needs ahead of his own desires, as he tours the world without his six month old son, Bear.
The former One Direction star will be leaving Bear with his famous mum, Cheryl Cole, at home.
“He’s going to stay with his mom until we really figure out what we’re doing,” the Strip That Down singer, 24, said.
“It’s going to be difficult. It’s hard being away, but time differences with babies and stuff — it’s really hard on them. I don’t want to drag him around the world for, you know, just for my sanity. We’ll do it when the time’s right.”

My close friends and family know there are very few times when I'm left speechless… wow! I'm incredibly happy to welcome our new baby boy into the world, it's a moment that I will never forget for the rest of my life and my favourite memory I have so far. I'm completely in awe of his incredible mother and how she has been the whole way through this, she's really made my dreams come true. We haven't named him yet but he's already capturing hearts including mine. I feel very blessed. Happy Mother's Day everyone!
A selfless decision
We’re sure the new dad will miss Bear terribly while he’s away, but we also understand his conundrum. Babies may be transportable but it can be hard to keep them in schedule when travelling, especially if their sleep times are disrupted. Babies can find flying stressful, too.
Liam and his partner, Cheryl, welcomed Bear in March this year. In a heartfelt Instagram pic of him clutching his tiny bundle, he captioned:

Bear is now six months old and appears to be right into his toys with the the Get Low singer revealing he’s even learning Spanish!
“They have toys that play Spanish. He was bouncing around, it was counting in Spanish. I was learning Spanish myself,” he said in the interview.
It’s a baby boom
Liam’s former bandmate Louis Tomlinson has also had a baby boy and has said he can’t wait to get his own son, Freddie and Bear together for playdates.
“I’m super happy for him and we haven’t been able to do it yet logistically but I’m really excited about having Freddie and Bear in the same room,” Tomlinson, 25, told ITV at the time. “It’s gonna be cool.”
