Let babies be wrapped in bright muslins from The Little Sparrow

Like many newborns, my kids spent their first few months swaddled. As crazy as my husband thought I was, I had the muslins sorted into stacks of ‘going out’ wraps and ‘everyday’ wraps (at this point, some parents will be nodding their head knowingly). You see, some muslins are more lovely than others, whether it be the colour, the design or simply the feel of the fabric. And when you never see the outfit a newborn is wearing (because they’re swaddled), you have to make the style statement with the muslin!

I recently discovered a superb range of embroidered wraps and muslins at The Little Sparrow, a store specialising in ethical trade nursery pieces and toys. The stand-out is the gorgeous white cotton wrap embroidered with brightly coloured polka dots.

At the recent Kids Instyle show in Melbourne, we got a sneak peek at some of the other designs that are coming soon, including leaves, geometric patterns and a confetti design (see below). Needless to say, these beautiful muslins go straight to the ‘going out’ collection!

The Little Sparrow also has a large collection of unique knitted soft toys, felt garlands for the nursery and felt accessories such as bags, necklaces and brooches.

Embroidered wraps are $69.95 each and knitted soft toys range from $9.95 to $39.95. All are available online from The Little Sparrow.
