We all know children will colour and draw on anything that will stay still long enough. But if you’re keen to foster a love of art and design in your children, then these free colouring pages are just the ticket.
Created by mum of two, artist Teena Han, Le Colouring is a haven of free printables, that make children think about form, shape, colour and design.
Teena goes into depth on the Le Colouring site about the thought processes that happen in a brain when it’s being used creatively. Here’s a little of what she has to say:
“Design thinking is an iterative process that applies empathy, rational decision-making and creativity. Used as a framework for innovation, it expands on traditional ways to frame issues and ideas…Through art, the possibilities are endless. Through design thinking, the possibilities are meaningful.”
Suffice to say, colouring is a brilliant way to foster a whole host of skills in children, and it’s also a relaxing pastime for adults. So why not print off a few of these beautiful works from Le Colouring and join the kids in some creative downtime.
