One thing I’ve realised since becoming a mother is how awful winter is with an unsettled baby. When it was warm, I used to just scoop my little one up in my baby carrier and go on very, very long walks until we’d both calmed down. Now that it’s cold and wet, I still take her on long walks but only after draping the carrier with thick woollen blankets to keep her warm.
The Lambini baby carrier, $295, removes the need for blankets as it’s lined with super-soft Australian lambswool. Of course the good news about pure lambswool is that it keeps baby warm in winter and cool in summer. You can even use the lambswool separately to line the pram or car seat.
I love that it’s so stylish (mum Fiona created it because she wanted something to complement her look) but the best thing is you don’t need an instruction booklet to work out how to put it on. It just slides right over your head.
Recommended for babies from 3.5kg to 10kg, the Lambini Papoose meets both British and American safety standards and can be purchased online.
