La poupÈe, c’est bon

When I was a little girl, I loved playing dress-ups with my paper dolls. They came with cute little outfits and accessories for every occasion that had to be pressed out from a book before being attached to the doll with fiddly paper tags. Sadly, my beloved paper dolls and their glamour wardrobes didn’t survive my 70s childhood to be passed on to my own daughter. But now she can have a modern-day version of her very own.

The Dress-Up Doll from Mimi’lou is just like those paper dolls I remember. Only bigger. And, dare I say it, better. Rather than the flimsy paper I had, this French made doll and her darling wardrobe comes in a more durable wall sticker form. Just whack it on a wall, a window, a mirror, or a wardrobe door and let your mini-fashionista or budding designer get to work.

The doll itself has a fanciful hand-drawn look once it’s stuck to your chosen surface that will have all your friends wondering when you became such a good artiste. The chic clothes and accessories — including a trËs gorgeous pug — are in gloriously detailed colour and can be easily switched around whenever it takes your little girl’s fancy. You can get the set from the gorgeous Lola et Moi for $85 plus postage.
