Kristen Bell reveals her kids “walked in on us having sex”

Kristen Bell

In an admission many, many parents will relate to, a very leading question prompted Kristen Bell to admit that her kids had indeed walked in on her and her husband having sex.

“Most embarrassing thing”

The A Bad Mom’s Christmas star appeared on popular TV show The Talk on Friday, and it was in a slumber party themed Pillow Talk segment that she spilled the loved-up beans.

Host – and former beloved Roseanne star – Sara Gilbert asked, “Besides watching Antonio Banderas, what is the most embarrassing thing your kids have walked in on you and your husband doing?”

Without missing a beat, Kristen delivered. “Oh, they’ve walked in on us having sex.”

“Whaaaaat?!”

When The Talk hosts respond with gasps of horror and cries of “whaaaaaat?!” but Kristen wasn’t having it.

“That’s how they were made, it’s OK, it’s OK, everyone!” she soothed.

We have to say, we’re totally behind Kristen when it comes to calling out The Talk hosts gasps and whats. It’s hard to fathom that this situation hasn’t happened – or been a near miss – for most parents.

The hosts gasps seem a little disingenuous – or inexperienced – perhaps?

“What do you neeeeeeed?!”

Now wildly successful comedian and actor Kristen is mum to 2-year-old Delta and 4-year-old Lincoln.

She explained that she and husband actor Dax Shepard, did their very best “nothing to see here” response and pretended nothing was amiss, confirming the kids had no idea what was going on.

“Well, we didn’t, like, continue … we sort of just went like ‘Hey, what’s up? What’s up? What’s up?!” indicating there was some urgency in the game.

The whats ups were apparently quickly followed by a round of, “What do you need? What do you neeeeeeed?'”

Kristen explains the whole situation ended with … a speedy “kip”.

“We just said, ‘We’re just gonna … Mommy and daddy are just going to take a nap for a couple more minutes.'”

Because a couple of minutes is all it takes at Chez Bell-Shep/a home where there are small children. Yep.
