Bandana bibs are the must-have kiddie fashion accessories of the moment but all are not created equal. Kishu bibs have found just the right balance of function and fashion to really set them apart. Kishu Baby uses only the highest quality pure cotton muslin for all its bibs, but it is the quirky, colourful patterns that owner Emi Jones sources from Japan that make Kishu bibs a unique and fun fashion statement we want in on.
Being a seamstress runs in the family for Emi, though it is a skill that lay dormant for many years until she had a son of her own. Her hobby soon turned into a passion and is now a rapidly growing business.
Each bib is handmade by Emi in her hometown of Los Angeles and her latest range is as fun as it is practical. Featuring an ultra trendy geometric polar bear design, the reversible bibs are available in multicolour, pink or blue.
Soft, lightweight, breathable and durable, the bibs are one-size-fits-all and are perfect for 6-24 month olds. There are two KAM snap closures for adjustable neck sizing and no scratchy Velcro to irritate sensitive skin. We love the versatility of the Kishu bib.
While it isn’t recommended for messy meal times, this bib is perfect for teething and drooly babies. It can also act as a stylish scarf or as a handkerchief for the pocket of a jacket when your baby is growing up. A fabric loop is sewn into each bib so it can be hung and used as a hand towel as well. Great thinking!
The latest range of Kishu bibs retail on the Kishu Baby website for US$16. Shipping to Australia – or anywhere else in the world – is a very reasonable flat rate of $6.50.
