How gorgeous does this look? It’s the largest public playground in the heart of Sydney, and I’m insanely jealous I’m not a Sydneysider, as I’d be ready and waiting to unleash my toddler on this gorgeous array of play equipment next weekend.
The Darling Quarter is huge, at four thousand square metres, giving little legs plenty of running room. It combines interactive play equipment with water features, nestled next to a children’s theatre. There’s a great mix of equipment for little ones, as well as teens, including a twenty-one metre long flying fox.
An open community green is just crying out for sunny day picnics. It’s a calm oasis in the middle of the maddening city, a playful place to take a breather during a busy shopping day.
Expect a carnival atmosphere for the officially opening day on Saturday, September 24, so pack up the family and head down to the southern end of Darling Harbour to try it out.
