Kelsey and Kayte Grammar have welcomed their third child together making the four-time-married, 61-year-old a dad of seven (and a granddad of one!)
On Monday, Kayte gave birth to a little boy, Auden James Ellis Grammer, weighing in at 7 pounds. Mum and baby are apparently doing well.
“The name was chosen to honor the great poet W.H. Auden and James is after another great poet and singer James Taylor – two of our favorites,” the couple say, People magazine reports.
The Ellis part of the equation honours Kelsey’s great grandfather’s name on his mother’s side.
“He was a colorful character to say the least and we wanted to give the name a second chance,” the Frasier star explained.
Despite officially leading with ‘Auden’, Kelsey and Kayte will apparently refer to their new son as James in day-to-day life.
Kelsey’s older daughter Greer revealed the couple are enjoying the fun and chaos of adding to the family.
“They have so much fun having the little kids running around the house,” she explained. “It’s so exciting. They’re just so happy, and my dad always wanted a really big family, so it’s just cool,” she told Entertainment Tonight.
The magnificent seven
The couple, who tied the knot in 2011 have two other children together, Faith Evangeline Elisa and Kelsey Gabriel Elias.
Kelsey is also dad to Spencer Grammer (with Doreen Alderman), Greer Grammer (with Barrie Buckner) and Mason Grammer and Jude Grammer (with Real Housewife of Beverly Hills alumni, Camille Grammer.
