Keep those fingers busy with the Origami Club

When I was a kid, I had a book on Origami.  I loved the pictures and tried desperately to make the tantalising flowers, adorable animals and the paper planes. Unfortunately, I was often disappointed with the results, which was more due to the book’s instructions rather than my clumsy fingers. So when I first saw this website I was dubious but have to say it really works!

The Origami Club is an easy to follow website totally dedicated to the art of paper folding. There are thousands of images to choose from in dozens of categories. A star rating of how easy each item is to make really encourages you to have a go.

But the great advantage is the animated sequences which accompany many of the objects. They give a step by step guide of how to fold, which you can start and stop as you go along. You can even print out different pieces of patterned and coloured paper to get you going.

Such a great idea for a rainy day and to keep those little fingers busy! I managed to make a very respectable dog’s face, which my five year old was most impressed with!
