Justin Timberlake’s big family dream: “I want to have as many kids as we can”

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel

Justin Timberlake is currently promoting his new Man Of The Woods album, and he’s also taking the opportunity to open up a bit more about mum and dad life.

Outdoorsy feels

The former Mickey Mouse Club star revealed that two-year-old Silas, his son with The Sinner star Jessica Biel, is named after his grandfather and great-grandfather. He also explained he only very recently discovered Silas means “man of the woods”- literally Googling it as he discussed possible titles for his new record.

The timing seemed serendipitous and had the dad-of-one pondering his own name TIMBER-LAKE and its woodsy feels, too.

“That’s a great name for an album,” he remembers saying, connecting the dots between his music and his new life as a dad.

“Weally fwesh!”

“A lot of my music I would not play for my son now,” Justin admits, revealing he’s particularly proud of his hit Can’t Stop The Feeling, because his little boy can sing along with it.

He also noted that Silas had a little bit of work to do when it comes to pronouncing his “Rs”- but he can’t get enough of the cute, especially when Silas is trying to sing along with his new single, Filthy.

“He was like “So weal!” Man [it’ll be great] when that “R” kicks in …. Weally fwesh, son!”

Justin admits that having kids has changed everything, and it’s hard to remember life before his son was around.

“Am I going to mess this kid up?”

Once Silas was born “life just like turns into another thing. We sit down and watch a movie and are like ‘what did we do before this?!'”

“I’ve never felt more inept in my life. You wake up and there’s this human being you’re responsible for. My [nearly] three-year-old is already running the house,” he laughed.

“When you have kids, all of a sudden you’re faced with your own childhood, good and bad. And like, am I going to mess this kid up?”

“I feel like the success of parenthood is feeling like I’ve failed all day today, but I get up tomorrow and do it again. And hopefully they turn out to be a good human being.”

When quizzed on whether he and Jess are stopping at one, JT said he hoped that would not be the case.

“I want to have as many as we can, if I’m being honest. I don’t know if I’ll ever be done. I just know that I won’t always be young.”

You can take a peek at Justin’s new album (below) and sing along like Silas – just switch the “R”s for “W”s and you’re good to go!
