I think every female has a particular ‘accessory weakness’. For some people, it’s shoes, others are into scarves. Personally, I have trouble walking past a display of bag – evening bags and clutches if you want to get specific. My six-year-old daughter also likes bags but her real weakness is for beads, worn either as a necklace or as bracelets, and the more she can layer, the better. She will go crazy for these beads.
Two years ago we introduced you to Chewbeads, a range of non-toxic silicone beads designed for mothers as a wearable teething toy for their baby.
Chewbeads have recently launched Juniorbeads, a new range of jewellery designed for kids to wear. Like Chewbeads, the Juniorbeads collection is made from silicone and is free from BPA, PVC, phthalates and lead.
There is tonnes of kid-appeal – bright, funky colours, beads combined with ribbon, glow-in-the-dark beads and chunky bangles in a rainbow of colours. I particularly like the glow-in-the-dark beads and bangles for added after-dark glamour (shown at the bottom).
Juniorbeads bangles are US$6 and the necklaces range from US$18.50 – $22.50. Chewbeads ship internationally.
