Who is coming to play tomorrow? The Umbilical Brothers and John Hamblin help Play School celebrate its 50th birthday

Start baking those cakes and putting the streamers up because tomorrow (18 July) Play School turns 50. That’s right, tomorrow will mark five decades since the iconic children’s show graced our television screens and the star appearances continue.

To celebrate the Play School Celebrity Covers Special series will feature The Umbilical Brothers performing a fairytale mash-up at 8am.

Then at 5pm beloved Play School presenter John Hamblin will return to perform Old MacDonald.

John Hamblin

For almost 30 years he appeared on the show, making for some classic Play School moments that not only educated children but often relayed an entirely different message to any adults watching.

John was one of the longest serving presenters on the show, surpassed only by Benita Collings.

Babyology recently took a trip down memory lane to find out who you think did it best.

Tomorrow will be the second last day in the celebrity series, here’s another look at all the stars who have taken part.
