Melding a child’s idea of play with a task to entertain an adult can be difficult. There is only so much Lego construction of Star Wars vehicles I can stand before my mind begins to wander to the myriad other tasks which need doing.
With this in mind, Per Brolund set about finding a way to absorb both adult and child in an interactive way. What else to do but to return to old-style outdoor entertainment in the making of a toy vehicle! Requiring no tools for assembly, the gorgeous Joyride car arrives as a set of ten self-locking marine plywood pieces, plus the wheels and axle and associated hardware. This full-scale construction kit will enthrall kids from age three to nine, and probably a fair few well past that age bracket.
Relish the construction challenge with your child, paint the new beast and then enjoy the end result, which harks back to carefree billycart days. An adult can perch on the rear plate of the car, controlling the speed and experiencing the thrill of the ride!
This awesome project is just a concept right now. We can only hope it will be released as a product for us to buy.
