Jessica Biel relishes her role as a “human vacuum cleaner” aka mum

Jessica Biel eats a bagel

Jessica Biel described pretty much every parent’s modus operandi when she referred to herself as the “human vacuum cleaner” that shovels every last bite from her child’s plate into her own mouth.

Suck it up

“I’m the human vacuum cleaner at the end of the meal!” Jessica said, speaking to People Magazine.

“That is what happens when you are a mom or a dad.”

“You make food, they eat what they eat, and you literally — as they are running off trying to grab something — you are shovelling the last few bites off of their plate. And that is your lunch… that is your lunch.”

We’re certain many parents can relate.

Jess and husband Justin Timberlake have wisely kept almost-2-year-old Silas away from the social media spotlight, on the whole, so it’s always nice to hear these little bonus snippets about how they approach the parenting game.

Bringing lunchtime back

From what we can glean, the superstar mum seems to be as obsessed with food as we are.

She owns her own family-friendly restaurant in downtown Hollywood – Au Fudge – for starters, and her husband JT is also partner in New York BBQ restaurant, Southern Hospitality.

Jess has not been backward in coming forward about her unusual and possibly soggy shower snacking habits and her Instagram is very often sweet-treat and carbohydrate filled. How refreshing!

That said, she doesn’t post very often. Any activity is met with a flurry excitement from like-minded parents and fans.

King of the House

In other cute Jess news, the mum-of-one popped up on The Ellen Show, unwisely allowing Ellen to use her phone to call Justin for a chinwag, live on air.

JT was at home with the couple’s kiddo at the time. When asked what he was up to, he told Ellen he was making sweet potato fries for Silas aka The King Of The House.

Ellen then attempted to prank Justin, saying Jess was pregnant (SURPRISE!), that a baby girl (Queen of the House!) was on the way and excitingly she was going to be named… Ellen!

Justin’s response?

“Oh. [pause] I can’t wait to find out whose it is!”

“That’s a different show,” Ellen admitted.

It’s always fun to hear from these guys. They may be uber-famous, but they are relatable, smart and funny (with just a touch of the vacuum cleaner/doughnut.)
