Good food for the whole family – Jamie Oliver launches Family Food Tube channel

Jamie-Oliver

I still consider myself pretty new to this parenting game. One baby and almost one year in and I still don’t know what i’m doing half the time. Lucky for me, my little guy is a great eater but I know it’s my responsibility to ensure he eats a healthy variety of foods. It’s easy to get in a rut and serve up the same hommus on toast with veggie sticks day after day. Thankfully, Jamie Oliver has come to the rescue.

This week is the launch of Family Food Tube. It’s a new YouTube channel from Jamie Oliver, dedicated entirely to helping parents feed their kids nutritious food they’ll want to eat. There will be new videos uploaded every week that will cover topics like fast mid-week meals and batch cooking to save us time and money.

“If you’re a parent, this channel is just for you. You asked for it, and now you’ve got it,” Jamie says. “It’s really, really hard trying to be the perfect parent. But if you care about food, you’ve already ticked the biggest box.”

Family Food Tube has ideas for family meals that will feed the entire family – from the tired adults right down to a weaning baby – all from the one meal. There are also tips on teaching kids to love cooking too, like how to use knives safely and hints on getting them to eat fruit salad.

So if you are in a bit of rut of what to cook for dinner (that the kids will actually eat!), aren’t sure how to start your baby on solids or are just a fan of Jamie, check out Family Food Tube. As well as Jamie, there’ll be a host of other chefs and nutritional experts there dishing up the good stuff, including his wife, Jools.

We’re certainly super-excited about this new channel and can’t put it better than Jamie himself. “There’s nothing, nothing, nothing better than seeing your kids finish a plate of really good proper food”.

Go and take a look over on YouTube and let us know what you think. And browse our archives too for more Jamie Oliver goodness.
