Ahhhh…it’s Playtime again. No, not playtime for the kids – this Playtime is for parents to enjoy (the kids will benefit after the shopping is done!). Yes, it’s Playtime Paris, the children’s and maternity expo that draws together more than four hundred exhibitors from around the world. Are you ready for a peek at what’s in store?
Playtime Paris runs from January 25-27 – we’ll be sure to share a round-up of all the new fashions, the latest gadgets and the must-have accessories after the event but in the meantime, we have the word on the designers that will be making their Playtime debut and some of the latest gear that will be on show.
Paris, being the fashion capital of the world, is the perfect place to launch the latest looks and there will be lots to see at Playtime Paris including new collections from Olive by Sisco, Douuod (above), plus plenty of Babyology favourites including 4FunkyFlavours, Tootsa Macginty and Beau Loves (at top).
I’m looking forward to seeing the range of funky tights for baby boys from Little Titans; gorgeous frocks for girls that like to dress up from Lazy Francis; and knits for baby from Belle Enfant and for bigger kids from La Bottega di Giorgia.
Playtime Paris also sees the launch of Dance, a new line by Petit. The collection is designed for young athletes and is ideal for practicing gymnastics and for dancers (with a little edgy style).
Of course, there’s also lots of fashion accessories and maternity fashion to show as well. Popular British maternity label Slacks & Co will be launching a capsule collection titled Essentials – the collection is composed of six must-have pieces to see you through your pregnancy in style (without breaking the bank).
For those looking to create the perfect nursery, there are more than twenty new designers specialising in interiors, furniture and accessories on show at Playtime Paris this year. I’ll be keeping my eye on gorgeous patterned pillows from April Eleven (above); fabric wall stickers from Italian designer Peridea (below) that have a very cool retro edge; and plush goodies from Dutch designer, Dig & Mig (at bottom). Also on my go-to list is French designer Little Cabari, home to an eclectic mix of decor pieces, toys and amazing bed linen (at bottom).
That’s lots to look forward to and we can’t wait to share. See you soon for Playtime Paris!
