Naw! What a lovely way to end one year and begin the next! Famous “H” name-lovers Jessica Alba and Cash Warren have welcomed the newest addition to their gang, an adorable baby boy.
Hey, hey, Hayes!
Jess revealed her exciting birth announcement on Instagram just a wee while ago. She’s obviously thrilled with her handiwork – as are her daughters.
“Hayes Alba Warren 12/31/17. Best gift to ring in the New Year!! Cash and I feel so blessed. Haven and Honor are already obsessed with their new baby bro,” she posted alongside an ultra-cute photo of her fresh little boy.
Jess and her film producer husband Cash were already parents to two girls: 9-year-old Honor Marie and 6-year-old Haven Garner. Baby Hayes fleshes things out to a very substantial family of five.
Jess’s announcement makes Hayes the very first celebrity baby birth revealed in 2018 – and the last celeb baby born in 2017.
After an Instagram-tracked pregnancy, it’s lovely to catch a glimpse of this little guy experiencing his first days with his family.
Weirdly an (unofficial) Instagram account has already popped up in this little boy’s name, but generally fans and friends have been expressing their excitement – not their creepy, stalker vibes – on the social media platform in wholesome ways, and congratulating Jess and Cash.
A pregnant-with-her-second Chrissy Teigen posted what we’re all thinking – “AHHHHHH!!!” on the cute pic of baby Hayes, and Sarah Michelle Gellar sent some smooches too – “Awe congrats. Sending much love” she wrote.
Hormones and “H” names
Jess has previously explained that unusual, but not too unusual, names are the order of the day in her family, and a sort of group alliteration has come into play.
“For some reason we chose H [names for their first two daughters]. It has to be single or double syllable, has to be an ‘H’ and it also has to be a word. It can’t be too weird because you never know,” Jess said. “A little unusual [is okay], but what if they want to be a nurse?”
Hayes is usually known as a surname, but Jess and Cash have gone with the last-name-as-first-name move and we think it’s totally paid off. Of English origin it means “hedged area” and is the name of actor Kevin Costner’s son as well as being a character name in the TV series Bones.
