I often go and check out the range at Infancy as I have three stores right near me in Sydney. They have become the inner West’s mainstay of beautiful fashion, footwear and toys – many an Infancy garment has passed through this household and onto friend’s children still looking great. It wears and washes wonderfully.
I was delighted last time I visited the Newtown store to find baby garments in the most amazing fabrics and yarns. The softest bamboo cotton-blend prints have been made into rompers (up to size 0), hats, wraps and sleeping bags. With the background being neutral, for boys you can choose from the green and brown tractor and truck prints. For girls there is the very Australian gumnut print in pink and brown. Perfect for sending overseas as gifts!
Infancy have also done the most stunning cashmere-blend knitwear for babies. If you want the ultimate in luxury, then here it is. Choose from an all-in-one, plus blankets, cardigans and leggings in hues of soft green, pink and brown. Having handled them myself, I can vouch that they are as tenderly soft as they look. It’s when I happen upon clothing like this that I lament not having a wee babe to put them on.
You can buy most of the new bamboo and cashmere ranges online at All About Baby. Bamboo all-in-ones are $38.95, hats are $13.95 and cashmere blankets are $76.95 plus post.
