‘I’m moving on!’ – Girl’s threat to leave home has mum (and us) in stitches

leaving home

There comes a time in every child’s life when they must leave the nest, but perhaps not as early or emphatically as this little girl. A mum’s video of her five-year-old daughter threatening to “move on” is going viral – because it’s hilarious.

“My feisty five-year-old is upset with her brother so she’s moving on to live with my best friend, Jenn. In this video she explains why,” writes the mum on her YouTube post.

“I’m moving on, I’m going to Jenn’s,” shouts feisty Saige to her amused mum, after her brother throws dirt at her. “I have to move on, I’ve been in the house way too long.”

She adds that her bedroom “is a disaster, it has no room, I can barely have room to put my stuff!”, saying she’ll instead make Jenn’s house “as clean as I can”. We’ll let her explain the rest:

Thankfully, like all the best run-away-from-home threats, this one does seem to end on shaky ground – after her mum asks her when she’s planning on moving, it seems her plan may not have been so well thought-out after all.

Thanks for the giggle Saige, hope you and your brother are getting along!
