The last amazing kindergarten we looked at in Israel was inspired by elephants. This one is all about alligators and fairy mushrooms.

Located in Ramat Gan, near Tel Aviv, Israel, this kindergarten is crawling with alligators – but it’s perfectly safe! Created by designer Sarit Shani Hay, the alligators are just part of the magical design that is Ramat Gan kindergarten.

Combining functionality with fantasy, the kindergarten features huge fairy mushrooms, cubby houses, whimsical forest decor and furniture that is also a plaything (such as the alligators designed for lounging on). I especially like the huge bank of cupboards where each child has their own drawer.

Check out our previous posts on amazing kindergartens here and here, as well as another of Hay’s designs that we reviewed last year.

Katrina studied planning and design, did the hard yards working in a big office building and then traded it all in for a relaxing (!) life at home with four children. She now fills her time with writing, completing a degree in genetics and taxiing her children around Melbourne to their various sporting commitments (not necessarily in that order).
