A four-leaf clover design on children’s clothing? I’m in heaven! The Danes continue to impress me with their design skills for children’s accoutrements, and Copenhagen based Holly’s clothing doesn’t disappoint. The four-leaf clover is the cornerstone of Holly’s collections, used in everything from shirts to vests to raincoats.
Started in 2002, Holly’s design aesthetic is full of nostalgia and retro – with a twist. The word that came to mind when I first viewed the collection was ‘retrofusion’ (my own made up word, it means vintage and modern combined). In Holly’s case, that vintage is 70s with liberal use of denim, vests, bold colours and even bolder prints. I have to say this brand has hit the top of my favourites list.
Boys are covered with tons of mod and energetic choices. My picks are the denim shirt and clover raincoat (pictured). Parents of girls won’t be able to decide between the many options. I love them all but am particularly taken with the clover knit vest and the denim vest which looks striking when paired with a dress.
To order, contact Holly’s by email and they will help find a stockist near you.
